Use Yodel without the Need of Slack : Yodel Blog

This might be one of the biggest news for our Yodel users. You can now use Yodel without the need for Slack!

We are launching the first version of the app today for macOS and Windows which includes a real ringing for incoming calls, receiving and making calls. Other functionalities such as live transcriptions, tagging, or calling contacts will be added step by step in the upcoming weeks and months.

So what does this mean for you? Just go to manage.yodel.io/apps, and either download the macOS or Windows App. Log in with your user credentials and be ready to make and receive calls!

The screenshots show different states of the app. The first one is for making an outbound call, the second is showing an incoming call which you can answer or mute (so others in your team can still pick up), and the third one is an active outbound call.

The app is also a good addition for users with Slack integration. Use the app next to Slack to get a real ringing on your computer for an incoming call!

So decide for yourself: Take advantage of all Yodel features by using Slack in combination with the desktop app or use it standalone. And make sure to watch out for updates in the app. Let us know if anything vital is missing and we will try to include it in the next update.
