Everyone’s talking about the need of engaging with intelligent tools but most people still have a question mark in their eyes in understanding if AI is just a buzzword that “hip” companies use for marketing reasons or if it will impact our daily working lives in the future.
Since Yodel is at the forefront of leveraging this technology, we organized a meetup to connect with the local community in the Silicon Valley.
Our partner Slack and our friends from MeisterTask and Zoom.ai joined the panel discussion this February at Slack’s San Francisco office to identify the various ways in which AI will affect the workspace.
All of us — Mike, Scott, Oliver, and Roy — concluded that … Wait! not so fast!
This topic is nothing that can be concluded in only one sentence. ;) To give you the most out of the meetup’s discussions we will launch a blog series covering each panel speaker’s thoughts and ideas on AI.
Stay tuned by following our blog to read the first story of ‘The Future of Work: How businesses are using AI in the enterprise’!
Together with our friends from Slack, MeisterTask, and Zoom.ai, we organized the event ‘The Future of Work: How businesses are using AI in the enterprise’ in February.
The panel consisted of Yodel’s CEO and Co-Founder Mike Heininger, MeisterTask’s VP of Sales Oliver Huebler, Zoom.ai’s CEO and Founder Roy Pereira, and Slack’s Partner Engineer Scott Landau.
Yodel, MeisterTask, and Zoom.ai all have a focus on or working with AI and are integrating into Slack. This was the common denominator for starting the conversation. All panel members agreed that AI is in the forthcoming and will be an even bigger part of our workforce than it already is.
When asked Nina from Yodel (CCO, Co-Founder of Yodel and host of the panel) on her thoughts about the event, she recaptured the evening with the following words:
“People really engaged with the panel speakers. Tons of questions were asked which started a whole conversation on its own how our jobs are changing and what we should expect from AI in the near future. This shows the broad interest in AI since people with many different backgrounds joined the meetup. I’m very glad that we were able to make this event happen and will hopefully continue organizing these gatherings again.”
