A cloud phone system is a type of VoIP phone system, VoIP of course being a telephone system that makes and receives calls over the internet. Within VoIP there are two main categories of systems, cloud and on-site.
An on-site solution requires a business to invest in building, maintaining, and storing expensive servers on-site. This is typically chosen by large enterprises who have the capital to do so, and the in house knowledge to maintain the servers. However, most businesses will choose a cloud based system instead.
A cloud based system works by VoIP providers hosting the servers for you, eliminating the burden of storing and maintaining the infrastructure of a VoIP system.
As a cloud based business phone system Yodel is able to provide for our users the ease and convenience of a hosted system, without sacrificing the customization and integrations seen with an on site solution.
But don’t just take our word for it, instead read some of the real reviews left about Yodel on trusted websites like G2 and Capterra.
“An extremely innovative app with amazing utility and top notch customer service.”
“Once we move away from our present phone system and fully integrate with Yodel, we will be saving roughly $400 a year in associated costs for more functionality.”
“Say goodbye to hardware phones”
“Before we were continually getting fed up with all of the attention, and space that hardware phones and servers required. We had tried other solutions online but they just weren’t giving us what we needed. Since adopting Yodel, we’ve been able to move to a cloud solution that works from anywhere. It really has helped us to reorganize, and really prioritize customer interactions instead of being distracted with the physical clutter.”
“Yodel freed up our staff from answering our ad-hoc Google Voice system, and put it on Slack where we have most of our communication.“
“Yodel has some very cool features- the digital assistant can be customized to have a personalized greeting (or you can record your own), it can ask the caller for their intended department or person, and it can even answer simple questions using some integrations. These are features that I did not expect to find outside of a very expensive enterprise solution.“
“Running our phone system through Slack has been great for our productivity, as we’re freed up from having to answer the phones without knowing who’s calling (it’s useful for our firm to be able to screen calls).”
Shannon S. shared on G2 that Airtable is “Great for those coming from Excel or Sheets and prefer a spreadsheet display.”, but that “There is a definite learning curve to Airtable.”
In general it seems as though Airtable users appreciate the different capabilities, but find it difficult to get started. It seems as though Airtable may be best suited for teams who have a designated technology specialist, who could then help the rest of the team get up to speed.
Adlai A. wrote about their experience with Grasshopper on G2, sharing that the mobile and desktop apps were both very useful, but they have experienced some frustrations with being billed for international calls when they are calls coming from the same state (Hawaii). Overall, Adlai gave Grasshopper a score of 3 out of 5 stars.
There are many places to find cloud business phone system reviews, such as G2 and Capterra. As you can see, there is a reason thousands of companies trust Yodel for their business phone communication.
